First Braiding Class

Took my first official braiding class with my cousin Ta’Shara at Just Gorgeous Braids — the moment that sparked my passion for hair artistry.

Clean Beauty Charlotte began on May 15, 2020, with an online store featuring handmade cleansers, lip gloss, and body butters, all lovingly crafted in my mom’s dining room. This humble start set the tone for a brand built on clean ingredients and heartfelt care.

On May 25, 2020, Clean Beauty Charlotte officially launched, expanding its reach beyond close friends and family. This marked the beginning of sharing clean, handmade beauty with a growing community who values quality and self-care.

Clean Beauty Charlotte held its first brand photoshoot, capturing the essence of clean beauty and setting the visual tone for the journey ahead.

Completed a lash class with my Aunt, Kelly Clark, at Haven Spa Boutique — deepening my skills and passion for beauty.

First Batch of Tea Tree Peppermint Cleansers Arrived

Thrilled to launch this refreshing, natural cleanser crafted to purify and soothe your skin — the perfect start to clean beauty!

Debut Pop-Up Market

Hosted my first pop-up at Charlotte Open Air Market — connecting with the community and sharing Clean Beauty Charlotte in person.

During this time, I experienced the loss of my uncle, a deeply personal moment that challenged me but also strengthened my commitment to building Clean Beauty Charlotte. His memory continues to inspire the care and intention behind every product.

In Loving Memory of Grandma Sheila

Lost my grandmother, Sheila, to cancer. Though we didn’t have every summer together, the ones we did were full of love and little routines I’ll never forget — like watering flowers in her backyard in Buffalo. She was a strong, family-centered woman, and I miss her deeply.

In Loving Memory of Grandpa Jimmy

Said goodbye to my grandfather, Jimmy — a man full of character who brought both joy and chaos into our lives. I remember riding around in his Expedition and how he introduced me to horseback riding, something I later explored myself. Known to many as Jimmy Lee, to know him was to love him — wild stories and all. I miss him dearly.

Launched Legendary Summer Braid Special

Kicked off my legendary summer braid special that had me booked 2–3 months in advance. Braiding from sun up to sun down, sometimes overnight, it was an intense season that led to burnout—but definitely a summer to remember.

Transitioned Back to Home-Based

Moved out of my suite and returned to being home-based. A necessary shift that allowed me to realign, refocus, and continue serving clients with intention and care — right from home.

First Holiday Pop-Up Shop

Launched My First Painted Tree Boutique

Officially Became a Licensed Manicurist in NC

Gender Reveal & Goodbye

On the same day I found out I was carrying a baby boy, we laid my son’s father to rest after his tragic passing. It was a day suspended between joy and grief — a deeply emotional moment that reminded me of life’s fragility and the strength it takes to keep moving forward.
